Panaji, Feb 4 (PTI) – Telugu film producer K P Choudhary, known for producing the Telugu version of Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali, was found dead in his rented residence in Goa’s Siolim village. A suicide note recovered from his bedroom cited depression as the reason for his extreme step, police confirmed on Tuesday.
According to officials, the 44-year-old producer had been battling depression for the past few days. His note explicitly stated that no one should be held responsible for his death. Choudhary also mentioned that his body should be handed over to his mother, who resides in Tamil Nadu.
After being alerted, the police reached the house on Monday and sent Choudhary’s body to Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim for post-mortem. Authorities are awaiting the arrival of his family before proceeding with further formalities.
Choudhary had faced legal troubles in the past; in 2023, he was arrested by the Cyberabad Special Operations Team in connection with a drugs case.
Investigations into his death are ongoing.
