Panaji, Feb 3 (PTI) – Telugu film producer K P Choudhary, known for producing the Telugu version of Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali, was found dead in a rented house in North Goa's Siolim village on Monday. Police confirmed that Choudhary, 44, died by suicide, hanging himself from a ceiling fan using a bedsheet.

According to Superintendent of Police (North) Akshat Kaushal, the Anjuna Police received a distress call at 11:26 AM, reporting the incident. A police team was dispatched to the scene, where they discovered Choudhary’s body in his bedroom.

Authorities also recovered a suicide note from the premises. "We have found a note and are verifying its contents," Kaushal told PTI, declining to disclose further details.

Choudhary’s family has been informed, and his body has been sent to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, where a postmortem examination is scheduled for Tuesday.

Choudhary had previously been arrested by the Cyberabad Special Operations Team in 2023 in connection with a drug-related case. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing.
