Police have registered a case against unidentified burglars who broke into a godown complex in Maharashtra's Thane district and stole Rs 42.15 lakh in cash, an official confirmed on Sunday.The burglary occurred between the evening of March 4 and the early hours of March 5 at a godown complex located in the Kalher area of Bhiwandi.
Entry Gained by Breaking Iron Window Grill
According to the official from Narpoli police station, the intruders entered the premises by forcibly breaking the iron grill of a window. Once inside, they broke open a cupboard and fled with Rs 42.15 lakh cash, which had been collected from 12 different companies.FIR Registered, Investigation Underway
Following the complaint, the police registered an FIR against the unknown culprits on Friday. The case was filed under Sections 303 (theft) and 331 (lurking house trespass or house-breaking after sunset and before sunrise) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.Authorities have initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the burglars.
