Thane, March 3: In a swift rescue operation, firefighters in Thane saved a pair of 21-month-old twin sisters who were trapped inside their ground-floor room in the Sainath Nagar area of Thane East on Monday evening.
As per reports from the Kopri fire station, the main door of the room shut unexpectedly, leaving the toddlers Aarushi Anuj Kumar and Ayushi Anuj Kumar locked inside. Upon receiving the distress call, firefighters quickly arrived at the scene.
“The girls were visibly distressed but unharmed. They were safely reunited with their relieved parents,” said a spokesperson from the disaster management office.
