THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, May 15 – Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, which operates the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, announced a 10% year-on-year growth in passenger traffic for FY25, driven by infrastructure upgrades and expanded connectivity.

Between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, the airport handled 4,890,452 passengers, up from 4,411,235 in the previous financial year. The company credited this growth to rising demand from Kerala and Tamil Nadu and ongoing modernization efforts at the airport.

The airport also set new benchmarks in traffic movement, recording its highest-ever daily passenger count on December 22, 2024, with 16,578 passengers and 101 air traffic movements (ATMs). This surpassed the earlier high on January 29, which saw 15,193 passengers and 95 ATMs.

  • 86 daily ATMs, including charter services
The hub connects to over nine domestic and 14 international destinations, reflecting its rising strategic importance in southern India's aviation landscape.

Infrastructure & Technological Advancements

Adani Airport Holdings cited a 6% increase in ATMs as a direct result of its infrastructure enhancements and strategic investments. These initiatives have bolstered the airport’s capacity to manage traffic spikes and improve passenger experiences.

"This impressive growth trajectory underscores Thiruvananthapuram’s importance as a destination for travellers from Kerala and Tamil Nadu," the company noted in its statement.
The continued focus on operational excellence and connectivity is positioning Thiruvananthapuram as a fast-evolving regional aviation hub.
