Three Arrested for Attempting to Abduct Bride from Muzaffarnagar Beauty Parlour

Muzaffarnagar, March 3: Police on Monday arrested three men accused of attempting to abduct a bride from a beauty parlour in Chapar, Muzaffarnagar. The incident occurred when the bride had arrived for her bridal makeup ahead of her wedding ceremony.

The accused, identified as Nikhil, Shivam, and Abhishek, allegedly stormed into the parlour and vandalised the establishment. According to Circle Officer Rajkumar Sav, the attackers arrived in a car and forcibly attempted to abduct the bride, who had travelled from Bijopur village.

During the commotion, the accused also assaulted one of the bride's relatives. The bride courageously resisted the attackers, managing to escape unharmed. The men subsequently fled from the scene, abandoning their vehicle outside the parlour.

Following the incident, a formal complaint was lodged by the bride's family, resulting in the registration of a case against the accused individuals. Circle Officer Sav confirmed the arrests and stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The police later revealed that the accused had objected to the bride's marriage, which proceeded as scheduled, albeit under strict police protection to ensure the safety of those involved.

The incident has caused significant local uproar, prompting heightened vigilance from authorities to prevent any further disturbances.
