
REASI, February 14: The three-day Maha Shivratri fair began on Saturday with intense religious devotion at the renowned Shri Shivkhori Shrine in Ransoo, Reasi district. A grand procession featuring depictions of Lord Shiva was organized from the base camp to the shrine entrance, attended by senior officials, public representatives, and a large number of devotees.
The fair and pilgrimage were formally inaugurated with prayers accompanied by chants of "Har Har Mahadev" and "Jai Bholenath." Strict security arrangements have been put in place along the route, with personnel from the police, CRPF, and the Army deployed.
The administration has arranged medical assistance, drinking water, sanitation, traffic, and accommodation facilities for the devotees. The event is expected to boost religious tourism and the local economy.
