Tragedy Strikes Near Kamakhya Dham Temple in Gahmar​

Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh – April 5:
A devastating accident late Friday night claimed the lives of three young girls and left their mother seriously injured after a speeding truck rammed into their roadside hut in the Gahmar area of Ghazipur district.

According to police, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. near the Kamakhya Dham temple. The victims were asleep when the truck, en route from Ghazipur to Bara, veered off the road and crashed into their makeshift dwelling.

Victims Identified, Mother Hospitalised​

Station House Officer (SHO) Ashish Nath Singh confirmed that the deceased children have been identified as Sapna Kumari (9), Kabootri (7), and Jwala (4). Their mother, Santara Devi, sustained critical injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital.

Truck Seized, Search for Driver Underway​

Police have seized the truck involved in the incident. Authorities are actively working to apprehend the driver, who fled the scene following the collision.

The bodies of the three girls have been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is ongoing.

This heart-wrenching incident has cast a shadow of grief over the local community, prompting renewed concerns about road safety and the vulnerability of families living in roadside shelters.
