Latur, Feb 3 (PTI) – In a daring heist, three unidentified individuals broke into an ATM and made off with ₹17.80 lakh in Latur district. The incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday in Handarguli village of Udgir tehsil, was caught on CCTV cameras, police reported on Monday.
According to a crime branch official, the suspects arrived in a car and used a gas cutter to forcibly open the cash dispensing machine belonging to a nationalized bank. Despite the ATM being located just a short distance from a police station, the thieves managed to execute the theft and escape without immediate detection.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are analyzing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
