New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) – In an effort to encourage voter participation in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, the Chamber of Trades and Industries (CTI) has announced special discounts for those who cast their vote. Various businesses across the city, including salons, beauty parlours, restaurants, hotels, malls, coffee shops, and dhabas, will offer discounts ranging from 10% to 50% to voters.
According to a statement issued by CTI on Tuesday, around 500 salons and beauty parlours will be participating in the initiative, providing discounts of 20% to 50% on February 6, the day after voting. This effort aims to increase voter turnout in the elections scheduled for February 5.
He further revealed that over 500 salon owners and makeup artists associated with CTI have pledged their support for this campaign. Voters who visit salons for facials, shaves, haircuts, massages, and de-tan treatments on February 6 will receive additional discounts, provided they show the voting ink on their finger as proof of participation.
Delhi is set to vote for its 70-member Assembly on February 5, with results scheduled to be announced on February 8. The initiative by CTI aims to motivate citizens to exercise their democratic right while enjoying special post-election perks.
