Tom Holland Unveils Title for Upcoming Sequel: Spider-Man: Brand New Day Set for July 2026 Release

Los Angeles, April 1 — The highly anticipated fourth installment in the Spider-Man franchise starring Tom Holland has officially been titled "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", with a global release date set for July 31, 2026.

Tom Holland Confirms Title in CinemaCon Video Message

The announcement came via a video message from Tom Holland, played during CinemaCon, as reported by Variety. The 28-year-old actor is currently filming Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey", and could not attend in person.

Addressing the audience, Holland said,

“I am so sorry I can’t be with you. I am halfway around the world shooting a movie. I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of ‘No Way Home’, so ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.”
Known for his tendency to reveal spoilers, Holland added with a grin,

“That’s all I’ve been allowed to say. And I’m well over the hump of giving away spoilers, so don’t be worried. I’m not going to do that today.”

A New Chapter for Peter Parker

Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues the story of Peter Parker, a role Holland has embodied since 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, followed by Far From Home (2019), and No Way Home (2021). The previous film ended on a dramatic note, with Parker altering a spell to erase the world's memory of his identity—triggering a multiversal crisis.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton

Director Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for his work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is leading the project. Speaking about the film, he said:

“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world. We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”

Returning and New Faces

The film is expected to feature returning cast members Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Sadie Sink, joining Holland in what promises to be a major cinematic event. While the plot remains under wraps, anticipation is already building across the fandom.

With filming set to begin this summer, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks a new era for the web-slinging hero—one that promises both spectacle and emotional depth.
