
February 13, New Delhi – India's Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar set a world record to win the gold medal in the men's 50-metre rifle 3 positions event at the Asian Shooting Championships in New Delhi.
The 25-year-old successfully defended his title, scoring a total of 362.0 points after the kneeling, prone, and standing rounds in the final.
Overall, it was Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar's fifth individual shooting medal at the Asian Championships.
India also achieved a clean sweep in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions event, with Niraj Kumar taking silver and Akhil Sheoran securing bronze.
In the junior men's final, Adriyan Karmakar secured his second gold medal of the championship with a comfortable victory over silver medallist Dmitriy Kim of Kazakhstan.
