Toyota Kirloskar Motor Achieves Record Sales in FY25 with 28% Growth

New Delhi, April 1 — Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported its highest-ever annual sales for the financial year 2024–25, fueled by strong demand for SUVs, multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs), and hybrid models.

The automaker dispatched 3,37,148 units to dealerships across India during FY25, marking a robust 28% increasefrom the 2,63,512 units sold in FY24.

March Sales See Steady Growth

In March 2025 alone, TKM sold 30,043 units, up 11% from 27,180 units in March 2024. The growth underscores the consistent market appetite for Toyota’s expanding vehicle lineup.

Key Drivers: SUVs, MPVs, Hybrids, and Tier II-III Markets

According to Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales, Service, Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the growth has been driven by the rising popularity of SUVs, MPVs, and hybrid vehicles, alongside a surge in exports and stronger penetration in Tier II and Tier III cities.

"The growth has been fuelled by the strong and consistent adoption of SUVs, MPVs and hybrids, further reinforced by robust export momentum and deeper engagement in Tier II and III cities—highlighting the increasing relevance of our diverse product portfolio," Wadhwa stated.

Customer-Centric Strategies Pay Off

Wadhwa credited Toyota's multi-pathway strategy and initiatives like T-CARE, which enhance the customer ownership experience, as key enablers of the company’s sustained momentum.

"This, in turn, has created strong opportunities for us while establishing a solid foundation for the coming year, even amid intensifying competition and rising consumer expectations," he added.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor's performance in FY25 positions it strongly for the upcoming fiscal year, reflecting both product innovation and strategic market engagement.
