
Balasore (Odisha), February 14 Two truck drivers suffered severe burns after their vehicles caught fire following a collision on NH-60 in Odisha's Balasore district early on Saturday, police said.
The accident occurred near Basta around 1 am, and both vehicles, one carrying coal and the other iron plates, were completely destroyed, a police officer said, adding that the incident caused a temporary halt in traffic on the highway.
The drivers of the two vehicles suffered severe burns and were rushed to Basta hospital, where their condition is reported to be critical, he said.
Firefighters extinguished the flames, he added, and further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
