The tip-off led the local police team to set up a checkpoint on the national highway near Matlupur. Superintendent of Police (SP) Ilamaran G confirmed that the truck was spotted approaching from Ghazipur. Upon noticing the police presence, the driver attempted to flee, but he was quickly apprehended by the police team led by Kotwal Anil Kumar Singh.
