February 11, New Delhi – Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump today. According to the Emiri Diwan, the two leaders discussed efforts aimed at regional de-escalation and stability. The call took place ahead of a meeting between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the Israeli Prime Minister is expected to urge the U.S. President to expand Washington’s talks with Iran to include restrictions on Tehran’s missile arsenal.
