Jammu, March 1: Rescue teams in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir have recovered two bodies from a river, following a tragic accident in which a cab carrying ten passengers skidded off the road and plunged into the water near Kalai bridge. The search for a missing two-year-old boy is ongoing for the third consecutive day, officials confirmed.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening, and while seven passengers were successfully rescued, three individuals remained unaccounted for. Search and rescue operations led to the recovery of Shaheena Akhter’s body near Dingla on Saturday, while Abdul Aziz’s remains were retrieved from the same area late on Friday evening.
Authorities continue efforts to locate the missing toddler, who was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Rescue operations are being carried out with support from local agencies and emergency responders.
