Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Feb 27 – A tragic road accident in Sultanpur claimed the lives of a man and his nephew after their motorcycle was struck by an unidentified vehicle late Wednesday night, officials confirmed.
The victims were identified as Awadhesh Yadav (35), a resident of Babhnaiya Patti in Ambedkarnagar, and his maternal uncle, Ramdhari Yadav (57). The accident occurred while Awadhesh was taking Ramdhari to a hospital.
According to authorities, Ramdhari Yadav succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while Awadhesh, who was critically injured, was rushed to a nearby community health center by local residents. Despite medical efforts, he too passed away.
Shyam Sundar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Akhandnagar police station, stated that the bodies have been sent for postmortem as part of the investigation. The police are working to trace the unidentified vehicle involved in the incident.
