Indore, Feb 4 (PTI): Two prominent private schools in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, were swiftly evacuated on Tuesday following bomb threats received via email, police officials confirmed.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotia, the threats were sent to New Digamber Public School on Khandwa Road and Indore Public School in the Rau area. The emails, which contained text in Tamil as well, claimed that RDX explosives had been planted on the premises and threatened imminent explosions.

Upon receiving the alerts, authorities deployed Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads to both schools, ensuring a thorough inspection. While students and staff were promptly evacuated as a precautionary measure, no explosives were discovered during the search operations, Dandotia stated.

Security agencies are currently investigating the origin of the emails and the intent behind the threats. The incident has raised concerns among parents and the educational community, prompting calls for heightened security measures in schools.
