Mumbai, Feb 3 (PTI) – In a bizarre turn of events, a scooter was stolen from right outside a police station in Mumbai while its owner was inside recording his statement in a cheating case, police said on Monday.
The incident took place on Friday night at Vakola police station. The victim, Sajid Khan, a cameraman, had parked his two-wheeler outside the station before entering to provide his statement. However, when he came out, he found his scooter missing.
Adding to the mystery, the theft was not captured on CCTV cameras, making it challenging for authorities to identify the culprit.
Following Khan’s complaint, an FIR was registered against an unidentified person, and investigations are underway.
This incident raises concerns about vehicle security, even in supposedly safer zones like police station premises.
