Two Youths Killed as Overloaded Truck Overturns on Bike in Dholpur

Jaipur, Feb 26: In a tragic road accident in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district, two youths lost their lives after an overloaded truck overturned onto their bike late Tuesday night. The incident occurred in the Bari Road area under the Kotwali police station limits.

According to District Superintendent of Police Sumit Meharda, the victims, identified as Arvind (19) and Vijay alias Karua (22), both residents of Bhogiram Nagar Colony, were returning home after refueling their bike when the high-speed truck lost control and toppled onto them. The impact caused the bike to catch fire, trapping both riders beneath the truck.

Emergency responders used a crane to extricate the victims and rushed them to the hospital, where doctors declared Arvind dead on arrival. Vijay, who sustained severe injuries, was referred to a hospital in Jaipur but succumbed to his injuries en route.

The police conducted post-mortem examinations on Wednesday and handed over the bodies to the grieving families. A case has been registered against the truck driver, and further investigation is underway.
