Srinagar, February 3 (PTI) – The Jammu and Kashmir Police have filed a chargesheet under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against seven terror associates in a local court in Srinagar.
According to an official police spokesperson, the chargesheet is linked to a case registered at the Khanyar police station. The case initially involved eight individuals, including a Pakistani terrorist operating under the alias Usman, who was later neutralized in a police encounter.
"Formal charges have been brought against the seven individuals for their involvement in various terror-related activities. Additionally, an abate challan has been submitted in relation to the deceased Pakistani terrorist," the spokesperson stated.
This development marks another significant step in the ongoing counterterrorism efforts in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities continue to tighten security measures to curb militant activities in the region.
