
Ramban, February 10: Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, inspected the Community Managed Training Centre (CMTC) established under the J&K Rural Livelihoods Mission (UMEED) to review its operations and assess skill development initiatives for rural communities, particularly women's self-help groups (SHGs). Officials briefed him on ongoing training programs and future plans. The DC reviewed the infrastructure and interacted with trainees and trainers to evaluate the quality of the training. Emphasizing sustainable livelihoods and entrepreneurship, he stressed aligning skill programs with market demand to enhance employment and self-employment opportunities. Appreciating the Mission's efforts in promoting women empowerment and grassroots development, he directed regular monitoring and improved outreach to ensure maximum benefit to eligible beneficiaries.
