RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 11: The AYUSH Department of Ramban celebrated World Unani Day 2026 at the Conference Hall of the District Administrative Complex, Maitra, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned Unani physician, Hakim Ajmal Khan.
Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, was the chief guest, while Chief Planning Officer Dr Shakeeb Ahmed Rather was the guest of honour. They highlighted the role of AYUSH in strengthening preventive and promotive healthcare and emphasized the importance of Unani medicine in holistic health.
Senior Medical Officer and Nodal Officer AYUSH, Dr Masood Iqbal Zargar, outlined this year's theme, "Innovations and Evidence in Unani Practice," and spoke about the growing relevance of evidence-based Unani medicine.
Doctors and officials from the AYUSH Department participated in the event.
