Lucknow, May 17 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a directive to officials in storm- and hailstorm-affected districts to carry out immediate and effective relief operations, according to an official statement released on Saturday.
Adityanath emphasized the importance of close monitoring and swift action, instructing officers to visit the affected regions and ensure that relief reaches those in need without any delay.
"In the event of loss of human life or livestock due to lightning, storm, or heavy rainfall, immediate distribution of relief funds must be ensured," the statement said. He also called for proper medical treatment for the injured.
The Chief Minister further directed officials to conduct a comprehensive survey to assess crop damage and submit a report to the government for necessary steps and compensation.
In addition, he stressed the urgent need to address waterlogging by prioritizing water drainage arrangements in affected areas.
These directives aim to ensure timely support and effective disaster response across the impacted districts of Uttar Pradesh.
