Thane, May 20 — A 27-year-old woman was found murdered at her residence in the Ulwa area of Navi Mumbai, with her throat slit, according to police reports released on Tuesday.
The gruesome incident took place during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The victim has been identified as Alvina Kishoresingh, also known as Alvina Admali Khan.
An official from the NRI Sagri (Ulwa) police station confirmed that a case has been registered under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against unidentified individuals, following a complaint lodged by the victim’s husband.
Investigations are currently underway, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend the assailants responsible for the crime.
