Affordable Healthcare Boosts 'Swasth Bharat, Samarth Bharat' Vision
Lucknow, March 7: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Janaushadhi initiative, emphasizing its role in strengthening India's vision of a "Swasth Bharat, Samarth Bharat" (Healthy India, Capable India).
On the occasion of "Jan Aushadhi Diwas," celebrated nationwide every year on March 7, Chief Minister Adityanath took to social media to highlight the significance of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). This central government initiative promotes high-quality generic medicines at significantly reduced costs, ensuring that affordable healthcare reaches the common citizens.
Adityanath conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people of Uttar Pradesh, stating, "Heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the transformative initiative 'Jan Aushadhi Diwas,' which aims to provide affordable, high-quality, and accessible medicines to the public!"
The Chief Minister also praised Prime Minister Modi's leadership in driving this initiative forward. He remarked, "Under the leadership of the esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the establishment of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras is further strengthening the resolve of 'Swasth Bharat, Samarth Bharat.'"
Highlighting the broader impact of Janaushadhi Kendras, Adityanath noted, "These centres provide life-saving and other essential medicines at prices lower than market rates, ensuring healthcare security for the common people while also empowering them economically."
Celebrated from March 1 to 7 annually, the week-long events surrounding "Jan Aushadhi Diwas" aim to raise awareness about generic medicines and encourage their widespread use across the country.
