Dhami Inaugurates Community Hall in Dehradun, Lauds Armed Forces for Retaliatory Action Against Terror​

Dehradun, May 11 — Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday praised the Indian armed forces for their decisive and powerful response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, stating that their courage and strategic might had compelled Pakistan to surrender.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Harbansh Kapoor Memorial Community Hall in Garhi Cantt, Dhami said, “Our armed forces have given a befitting reply to the Pahalgam terror attack and completely destroyed terrorist hideouts located in Pakistan. The Indian Army has firmly responded to the nefarious activities of the enemy.”

The community hall, dedicated to the memory of late BJP MLA Harbansh Kapoor, was inaugurated in the presence of the current MLA and Kapoor’s widow, Savita Kapoor.

Highlighting the Centre’s firm stance on national security, Dhami credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for the strong and effective counter-terror measures. “Due to the strong leadership and clear policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, strong action has been taken against terrorism,” he said.

Reiterating the central government’s priorities, Dhami added, “The government follows the policy of ‘nation first’. For us, the nation is first.”

On the employment front, the Chief Minister said that over 23,000 youths have been recruited into government jobs over the past three years. He assured that the recruitment drive will continue uninterrupted to provide more opportunities to the state's youth.
