
Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu), February 15 At least five people, including two children, were killed in a head-on collision involving a two-wheeler and a tourist vehicle in Vaiappar-I village here on Sunday, police said.
Chief Minister M K Stalin condoled the deaths and announced compensation.
In a statement, Stalin expressed his sorrow over the accident and said he was shocked to learn that all five victims died instantly when the two-wheeler they were in collided head-on with another vehicle.
The deceased included two boys, aged 3 and 5 years.
Expressing sympathy to the families of the deceased, the CM announced a sum of Rs three lakh each to the next of kin of the victims.
