Major Success in Uttar Pradesh Police’s Crackdown on Organised Crime​


In a significant breakthrough for the Uttar Pradesh Police, a notorious criminal named Fati alias Asad, carrying a reward of ₹1 lakh, was killed in an encounter early Sunday morning in Mathura.


The operation was spearheaded by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mathura, Shailesh Pandey. According to Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), Prashant Kumar, the accused sustained critical bullet injuries during the encounter.


Following the shootout, Fati was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital; however, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.


Fati was identified as the head of the infamous Chhaimar gang, notorious for multiple serious crimes, including loot, dacoity, and murder. He was wanted in more than three dozen criminal cases spread across several states such as Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Jammu and Kashmir.


The elimination of Fati alias Asad marks a major achievement in the UP Police's ongoing efforts to clamp down on organised criminal activities in the region.
