Panipat, February 11 A major fire broke out in a warehouse storing discarded cloth here on Wednesday, according to police.
No casualties have been reported so far, they said.
Officials said that the fire spread rapidly through the warehouse, and residents living in nearby houses were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Fire tenders were deployed and managed to control the flames after a few hours, officials added.
According to police, the area where the fire occurred is a densely populated area.
Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the fire, they said, adding that there were no fatalities in the incident.
