The event celebrates schools and colleges that demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability education and action.
Program Highlights
The Wipro earthian program, one of India's largest sustainability education initiatives, received over 1,500 project submissions this year. An independent jury selected 23 winning entries and 43 shortlisted projects based on their focus on biodiversity, waste management, and water conservation.More than 100 schools were recognized for their outstanding contributions, supported by Wipro earthian’s regional non-governmental organization (NGO) partners. The Wipro Sustainability Educators Network (SEN) played a crucial role in grassroots engagement, organizing nature camps, library sessions, and the Goa Bird Atlas initiativeto deepen sustainability education.

‘Ideas to Impact’ (i2I) Challenge for Colleges
Wipro Earthian also supported higher education through its ‘Ideas to Impact’ (i2I) challenge in collaboration with IIT Madras. In August 2024, five college teams were recognized for their innovative projects in Energy, Building Materials, and Water. The challenge attracted participation from over 2,000 teams across 27 states, aiming to transform eco-innovative ideas into viable prototypes for a carbon-neutral future.Expanding Sustainability Education
Since its inception in 2011, Wipro earthian has reached over 50,000 schools, 4,000 colleges, 200,000 students, and 40,000 teachers.
