Jaipur, May 12 – A 24-year-old woman and her male companion have been arrested for allegedly filming and uploading an obscene video involving an elderly man on a pornographic website, Rajasthan Police said on Monday.
The accused, Smriti Jain from Dodaghat in Uttar Pradesh and Shanu Kumar (28) from Vaishali in Bihar, were apprehended by police in Noida and transported to Jaisalmer for further legal proceedings.
“They were arrested on Saturday and are currently in judicial custody,” said the Circle Officer of Jaisalmer, Roop Singh Inda.
Elderly Man Lured and Filmed
According to the police, the incident occurred in Jaisalmer, where Jain allegedly seduced a 70-year-old man and engaged in obscene acts with him while Kumar remained in the vehicle. The video, recorded at a secluded location, was later uploaded to a porn site. The man was reportedly grazing his sheep and goats when the duo lured him toward the vehicle.Authorities were alerted after the video surfaced online on May 4. A case was registered at Tanot police station, prompting an immediate investigation by the Jaisalmer police.
Multiple Videos Suspected
Police suspect that the accused may have created similar videos in other locations. Another video recently emerged from Dausa district, where a woman is seen engaging in explicit acts with a man after stopping her car under the pretext of asking for directions.“The faces were blurred, but it is suspected that the same accused are behind this video as well. Investigations are ongoing,” said Inda.
The case has raised serious concerns about exploitation, privacy violations, and the misuse of digital platforms for criminal purposes.
