Tragic Death of Mother-of-Four Sparks Police Probe​

Malappuram (Kerala), April 6 – A 35-year-old woman, identified as Asma, tragically died during childbirth at her rented residence in Malappuram district on Sunday morning.

According to police reports, Asma, a native of Chattiparambu, was in the process of delivering her fifth child when the fatal incident occurred. Details regarding medical assistance at the time remain unclear.

Following the incident, her husband, Sirajudheen, reportedly transported her body to their family home in Perumbavoor, located in Ernakulam district. Authorities were alerted shortly after, prompting the Perumbavoor police to arrive at the residence and transfer the body to Perumbavoor Taluk Hospital.

Police Launch Investigation​

Law enforcement officials confirmed that an investigation has been initiated to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Asma’s death. Statements from family members and other close relatives will be collected as part of the inquiry.

While the Perumbavoor police are aiding in the initial steps of the investigation, the case is primarily being handled by the Malappuram police.
