Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh (March 1) – In a tragic incident, a 58-year-old woman died after being struck by a bull when the motorcycle she was riding collided with stray cattle in Saharanpur, police confirmed on Saturday. The accident left two other passengers critically injured.
According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain, the accident occurred late on Friday evening. Akshay, a resident of Sheikhpura village in Nanauta police station area, was travelling on his motorcycle accompanied by his mother, Pramila, and another village resident, Omi (58). While riding, their motorcycle unexpectedly collided with a herd of stray cattle on the road.
The collision was severe enough to cause a bull from the herd to fling Omi several feet into the air, resulting in fatal injuries. Akshay and Pramila sustained serious injuries in the same incident.
Local passersby immediately rushed the victims to a nearby Primary Health Centre. However, doctors declared Omi dead upon arrival. Akshay and Pramila remain admitted, where their condition continues to be critical but stable.
Authorities have sent the body of the deceased for a post-mortem examination. Police are further investigating the incident.
