In a major update ahead of the third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), the UP Warriorz have roped in West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry as a replacement for the injured Alyssa Healy. Healy, who captained Australia in the recent Women’s Ashes match in Melbourne, has been ruled out of the upcoming tournament due to a foot injury.

“Unfortunately for me, I’ve got a couple of months of feet up. I’m pretty bummed by that, but at the same time elated to have a little bit of downtime and try and get my body right,” Healy remarked.
The wicketkeeper-batter had contributed 34 runs in Australia’s lone innings of 440 during the recent Test, where they recorded a commanding innings-and-122-run victory.
RCB’s New Replacements
Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have also made strategic changes by bringing in Heather Graham and Kim Garth as replacements for Sophie Devine and Kate Cross, respectively. Both Devine and Cross will miss the WPL for personal and injury-related reasons.Sophie Devine’s Break

England all-rounder Cross is currently recovering from a back injury and will not be available for this season’s WPL.
- Heather Graham (Australia): An all-rounder who has played 5 T20Is, taking 8 wickets.
- Kim Garth (Australia): A seasoned cricketer with 59 T20Is, 56 ODIs, and 4 Tests to her name. She boasts 764 T20I runs and 49 T20I wickets. Garth previously played for Gujarat Giants in the WPL.
Tournament Details
The third edition of the WPL kicks off on February 14 in Vadodara. Fans can look forward to competitive matches as teams adjust to last-minute squad changes, hoping to clinch the coveted title.
