Prayagraj, February 27 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has attributed the grand success of Maha Kumbh 2025 to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, calling the event a "truly global" phenomenon.
Speaking to journalists at the media center a day after the conclusion of the massive religious gathering, Adityanath acknowledged the media’s role in amplifying its significance worldwide.
"The Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj became a global event, thanks to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His guidance enabled us to execute this grand event successfully, and I extend my gratitude to the media for bringing its importance to the world," he stated.
The chief minister also emphasized Modi’s vision of merging faith and the economy, highlighting the immense potential of spiritual tourism in Uttar Pradesh. He pointed out that in 2024 alone, 64 crore pilgrims and tourists visited major religious sites across the state, including Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Vindhyachal, Gorakhpur, and Naimisharanya.
Setting a new benchmark in religious tourism, Maha Kumbh 2025 attracted over 66.3 crore visitors in the past 45 days, further solidifying Uttar Pradesh's position as a leading spiritual tourism hub.
