Lucknow, May 14 — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday flagged off the 'Bharat Shaurya Tiranga Yatra', saluting the Indian armed forces and commending their decisive action under Operation Sindoor in retaliation to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Holding the national flag, Adityanath called the military operation a clear demonstration of India's strength and resolve. “The success of Operation Sindoor has sent a powerful message to those who dare to challenge the nation. It showed the world what India is capable of when provoked,” he said while addressing a massive rally in Lucknow.
'Pakistan is a Failed State,' CM Asserts
Taking a sharp dig at Pakistan, the chief minister called it a "failed state" that has, for decades, nurtured terrorism. “In the last 70 to 75 years, Pakistan has only sown seeds of terror. The nation is hollow from within. They gave state funerals to terrorists, attended by politicians and army officials. Such a system is bound to collapse under the weight of its terror,” he stated.Adityanath highlighted the government’s firm stance against any threats to India’s sovereignty. “Those who raise a finger at India or try to harm the dignity of our daughters will meet a fate so severe that no one will be left to mourn them,” he warned.
Operation Sindoor: A Display of Military Might
Speaking on Operation Sindoor, the chief minister stressed that the military action was necessary even though India had presented proof of Pakistani involvement in the recent attack in Baisaran meadows. “Despite clear evidence, Islamabad chose denial. On the first day of the operation itself, over 100 terrorists and their protectors were brought to justice,” he said.“The world witnessed the strength of India’s military across land, sea, and air. The message was unambiguous — we do not provoke, but if provoked, we do not spare,” Adityanath added.
A Yatra to Honour the Armed Forces
Describing the 'Bharat Shaurya Tiranga Yatra' as a tribute to India’s valor, the chief minister said it represents the nation’s gratitude to its armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The tricolour stands for India’s pride, honour, and bravery. This yatra is a show of unity and a symbol of our collective respect for the nation's protectors,” he said.He further emphasised the importance of national unity under Modi’s leadership: "When 140 crore Indians commit to putting the nation first, no force in the world can stand against us. Every citizen must contribute to building a strong, developed India.”
