CM Directs Swift Action on Encroachment and Medical Aid During Public Grievance Meet

Gorakhpur, May 12 — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday emphasized the state government’s commitment to providing permanent housing and accessible medical treatment for the underprivileged. The directive came during his Janata Darshan, which was held outside Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur.

Speaking to officials, Adityanath urged the immediate inclusion of all eligible individuals under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, ensuring that deprived families receive permanent shelter. He further stressed that no patient should be denied medical care due to financial constraints, assuring that treatment costs would be covered through the Chief Minister's Discretionary Fund.

"Include all deprived eligible individuals under the housing scheme, and ensure no needy person is denied treatment for lack of funds," the Chief Minister stated.

He instructed officials to fast-track hospital estimates and forward them to the government promptly so financial aid can be disbursed without delay.

Adityanath, who arrived in Gorakhpur on Sunday and stayed overnight at Gorakhnath Temple, interacted with around 150 citizens during the Janata Darshan session on Monday morning. He reaffirmed that addressing public concerns is a top government priority, adding that each grievance must be handled with sensitivity and urgency.

Strong Action Against Land Encroachment

The Chief Minister also took a serious view of land-related complaints, particularly cases of encroachment. He directed officials to initiate strict legal action against offenders and ensure justice for the aggrieved parties.

“If any victim continues to face harassment, a thorough investigation must be carried out and accountability fixed,” Adityanath warned, urging a zero-tolerance approach to such issues.

The statement reflects the government's proactive stance on public welfare, especially regarding housing, healthcare, and property rights enforcement.
