Yogi Adityanath Unveils ₹933 Crore Projects in Bareilly, Flags Off 2,554 Advanced Ambulances

'School Chalo Abhiyan' and Infectious Disease Campaign Also Launched to Strengthen Social Infrastructure

Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh – April 1:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 132 development projects worth ₹933 crore in Bareilly, marking a major step in bolstering regional infrastructure and public welfare.

During the event, the chief minister also flagged off 2,554 newly-equipped ambulances featuring state-of-the-art life-saving technology, aimed at significantly upgrading emergency healthcare services across the state.

Focus on Education and Health

As part of his visit, Adityanath launched the 'School Chalo Abhiyan' to encourage student enrolment for the 2025–26 academic session, which began on April 1. He also kickstarted a special campaign to combat communicable diseases, reiterating the government’s commitment to eradicating infections and improving public health.

“Education is a Collective Responsibility,” Says CM

Speaking at the gathering, the chief minister underscored the vital role of education in nation-building.

“If a child remains illiterate, then it is a challenge for society and the nation. The entire country bears the consequences,” Adityanath stated, urging collective responsibility for the success of the school enrolment drive.
“No child should be left out. We all have to make the campaign a success.”
He criticised the condition of primary schools prior to his tenure, pointing out the lack of basic amenities like toilets and furniture.

“Smart classes and digital libraries were far-fetched dreams back then,” he added.

₹1,200 Per Child for 1.91 Crore Students

Highlighting reforms under his leadership, the CM said the government has transferred ₹1,200 directly to the accounts of parents of 1.91 crore students to support expenses for school uniforms, books, and supplies.

Adityanath also addressed the poor school enrolment rates under previous governments, claiming that 60% of children never attended school during those periods.

Encephalitis Brought Under Control

On the healthcare front, the CM emphasized the success of his administration in controlling vector-borne diseases.

“In the past eight years, encephalitis has been brought under control, and there have been no deaths due to the disease,” he announced.
This multi-pronged initiative reflects the Uttar Pradesh government's focus on education, healthcare, and infrastructure development as the pillars of progress.
