Bengaluru, Feb 4 (PTI) – Promising Indian goalkeeper Som Kumar has secured a professional contract with NK Radomlje, a club competing in the Prva Liga, Slovenia’s top-tier football league. This milestone makes the 19-year-old shot-stopper the only Indian footballer currently playing under a professional contract in Europe.
Standing at 6'3", Kumar is known for his quick reflexes and agility. He spent the last season with Indian Super League (ISL) club Kerala Blasters, before mutually parting ways in pursuit of international opportunities. His return to Slovenia is a homecoming of sorts, having spent four years in the country earlier before moving back to India in 2024.
