Ramban, February 10: The District Industries Centre (DIC) Ramban organized a one-day awareness workshop at Government Polytechnic College, Ramban, to promote entrepreneurship and MSME schemes among the youth. Held under the guidance of the Director of Industries & Commerce, Jammu, and the supervision of the General Manager of DIC Ramban, the program focused on Udyam Registration under RAMP, PMEGP, PM Vishwakarma, and other flagship schemes. Participants were informed about financial assistance, subsidies, and incentives under PMEGP, NCSS, and the J&K Industrial Policy 2021–30. Officials also highlighted the benefits of PM Vishwakarma for traditional artisans and encouraged MSMEs to register on the MSME Health Clinic portal. Approximately 100 aspiring youth and artisans attended the workshop, which featured sessions by officials from MSME, JKEDI, banks, Handicrafts, the Employment Department, and SBI RSETI, motivating participants to explore self-employment opportunities.
