New Delhi, May 17 – India's Yuki Bhambri, alongside his American partner Robert Galloway, advanced to the semifinals of the Bordeaux Challenger with a dominant straight-sets victory over French duo Quentin Halys and Albano Olivetti.
The second-seeded Indo-American pair triumphed 7-5, 6-3 in a brisk encounter that lasted just over an hour and eight minutes. Displaying strong coordination and consistency, Bhambri and Galloway kept their unseeded opponents on the back foot throughout the match.
With this win, the duo will now face the third-seeded Brazilian pair Rafael Matos and Marcelo Melo in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, India's other hopes at the tournament came to an end earlier. N Sriram Balaji and his Mexican partner Miguel Reyes-Varela exited in the doubles quarterfinals, while Sumit Nagal was ousted in the first round of the singles draw.
