New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) – Zinc prices witnessed a slight decline of 0.02% to Rs 269.05 per kilogram in futures trading on Tuesday, as traders trimmed their positions amid weak demand from consuming industries.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for March delivery registered a marginal dip of 5 paise, settling at Rs 269.05 per kg with a total trade volume of 418 lots.
Market analysts attributed the decline to reduced demand in the physical market, prompting speculators to cut their exposure. The subdued sentiment in the spot market played a key role in exerting downward pressure on zinc prices.
