New Delhi, March 3 – Zinc prices saw a slight increase on Monday, rising by Rs 2.10 to Rs 270.85 per kilogram in the futures market, driven by a boost in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for April delivery advanced by Rs 2.10, marking a 0.78% rise to Rs 270.85 per kg. The trade saw a turnover of 100 lots.
Market analysts attributed the price surge to the widening of positions by market participants, spurred by stronger demand from consuming industries. This uptick in industrial demand has supported the upward movement in zinc futures prices.
