Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, February 7 A Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate attempted to damage a polling booth set up by a candidate supported by the BJP during the Zilla Parishad elections in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, on Saturday.

No police complaint has been filed in connection with the incident in the Wadgaon Kolhati area, an official from the MIDC Waluj police station told PTI. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

The Sena (UBT) candidate, Anil Chordiya, reached the booth, where his opponent, Sachin Garad, was assisting voters in finding their names on the list. However, Chordiya believed that money was being distributed there, the official said.

The video shows Chordiya engaged in an animated conversation with some individuals.

"When he found nothing unusual, he simply threw a plastic chair. No one was injured, and no police complaint was filed. It was a minor incident, and the polling proceeded peacefully," the official added.
