Bhopal, April 3 Aam Aadmi Party's Madhya Pradesh in-charge Jitendra Singh Tomar said on Friday that the people of the state are suffering due to the BJP and Congress, and that his party will provide a better option with its clean and honest politics.
He referred to the removal of Raghav Chadha as AAP's deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha as the "party's internal affairs". The AAP replaced Chadha with Ashok Mittal on Thursday amid speculation about his alleged differences with the top leadership.
"External parties should not comment on the party's internal affairs. The party uses people according to its needs," Tomar said about the development. The AAP currently has 10 members in the Rajya Sabha, comprising seven from Punjab and three from Delhi.
Speaking about AAP's plans for Madhya Pradesh, Tomar said, "For the past several years, people have been suffering under the rule of the Congress and BJP. We will try to provide a better option by establishing clean and honest politics. We will fight elections with full force on all 230 seats in the state assembly."
AAP is strong in 30-40 constituencies, and its influence will increase to 100 seats in the future, he told reporters here after inaugurating the party's new state office.
Tomar also addressed the state-level executive conference that was attended by 15 co-in-charges from Delhi and leaders from Madhya Pradesh.
"To strengthen the party organization, Madhya Pradesh has been divided into 13 zones, and an in-charge has been appointed for each zone. All zone in-charges will spend at least 10 days every month in villages to build the organization at the booth level. Zone-level workers' conferences will be held across the state from April 5," Tomar said.
He said AAP will take the "Arvind Kejriwal model" of governance to every household in Madhya Pradesh.
"Despite the BJP and Congress governments in the state, people are still deprived of basic amenities like education, health, electricity and employment," Tomar alleged.
