BJP Chief Questions Balyan's Response to Mann's Remarks.webp

New Delhi, April 2 BJP chief Nitin Nabin is said to have sought an explanation from former party MP Sanjeev Balyan for his silence regarding Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a recent event in Uttar Pradesh, sources said on Thursday.

When contacted, Balyan refuted the allegation and said he had objected to Mann twice at the event.

Addressing a recent Jat conclave in Meerut, Mann reportedly criticised Modi on various issues, including price rise, and commented that while the government talks about making India a "Vishwaguru" (teacher of the world), Modi has turned the country into a "Vishwachela" (disciple of the world).

It was alleged that Balyan, who was present at the event, did not raise an objection.

Taking serious exception to Balyan's "silence" over the Punjab chief minister's remarks, Nabin has summoned the BJP leader and sought an explanation from him, sources said.

"Nitin Nabin ji called Sanjeev Balyan and demanded an explanation today," a source told
