Kolkata, April 10 Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata on Friday to release the BJP's election manifesto for the West Bengal assembly polls, and to campaign for the party.
He was received at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport by BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya, Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar.
Shah, who arrived around noon instead of his scheduled late-night arrival on Thursday, is scheduled to release the party's 'Sankalp Patra' at a programme in the city.
Later in the day, he will address a public meeting in Debra in Paschim Medinipur district around 4 pm and participate in a roadshow in Kharagpur.
