In wrestling, Indian Greco-Roman wrestlers secured three more medals at the 2026 Asian Wrestling Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, yesterday. Nitesh Siwach won silver, while Prince and Sachin Sahrawat won bronze. This brought India's total medal count to five at the continental championship. Lalit Sehrawat had already won silver in the 55kg category on Tuesday, and Sunil Kumar won bronze in the 87kg category.
The women's freestyle competitions also began yesterday. A total of 30 Indian wrestlers – 10 each from the women's, men's freestyle, and Greco-Roman categories – are competing at the continental championships.
